How this actually works

Unlike our Merge, Split, and Repair tools, this one is not client-side. Your .docx/.doc file is uploaded to CloudConvert, a third-party document conversion service, which does the actual Word-to-PDF rendering and returns a download link. That's a genuine upload — not something processed only on your device — so treat it accordingly for sensitive documents.

Shared usage limit

This tool runs on a free CloudConvert tier with a limited number of conversions available per day, shared across everyone using this tool — not a per-person quota. If you see a message that the daily limit is reached, that's what happened; it resets the next day. In the meantime, Word's own "Save As → PDF" or Google Docs' "Download as PDF" work without any limit.

Accuracy

Conversion quality is generally good for standard documents, but we won't promise "100%" — complex layouts, uncommon fonts, or heavy SmartArt/embedded objects can shift slightly during conversion, the same as with most converters.

FAQ

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

Yes — to CloudConvert, a third-party conversion service, for processing.

Is there a daily limit?

Yes, a shared daily conversion limit applies across all users of this tool. It resets daily.

Will formatting be pixel-perfect?

Usually close, but not guaranteed for complex documents — this is true of most converters, not just this one.
