To maintain a safe, secure, and efficient engineering platform, all users must adhere to these strict usage guidelines.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the prohibited uses of PDFTEQ and its associated services. By accessing our platform, you agree to use our tools responsibly and in full compliance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws.
1. General Scope & Principle
PDFTEQ provides engineering-grade PDF tools primarily for educational, professional, and personal productivity. The Services are provided "as is" and must not be used in any manner that causes damage to the platform, impairs availability for other users, or facilitates illegal activity.
2. System & Infrastructure Abuse
You agree not to misuse our technical infrastructure. Prohibited actions include:
- Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS): Using botnets, stressers, or any automated means to flood our servers with traffic.
- Reverse Engineering: Attempting to decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer our WebAssembly modules, JavaScript engines, or API logic.
- Automated Scraping: Using spiders, bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access, extract, or index content from the Service without express written permission.
- Load Testing: Conducting performance or vulnerability testing on our infrastructure without authorization.
- Interference: Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service or third-party data contained therein.
3. Prohibited Content Categories
You may not use PDFTEQ tools to create, process, host, or distribute:
A. Illegal Content
- Content that promotes terrorism, violence, or illegal acts.
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or exploitation content. We report all instances of CSAM to the NCMEC and relevant authorities immediately.
- Content related to the sale of illegal drugs, weapons, or counterfeit goods.
B. Harmful & Offensive Content
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying, or threats against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, or orientation.
- Defamatory, libelous, or slanderous material.
- Graphic violence or gore without educational context.
C. Intellectual Property Violations
- Content that infringes upon the copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secrets of third parties.
- Removing copyright notices or watermarks from documents you do not own.
4. Academic Integrity & Forgery
Student Policy
PDFTEQ is a tool for learning, not cheating. We strictly prohibit the use of our tools for academic dishonesty.
You strictly agree NOT to use our tools for:
- Forging or altering academic transcripts, grade sheets, or diplomas.
- Creating fake letters of recommendation or university admission documents.
- Plagiarizing content or removing authorship metadata to claim work that is not yours.
5. Network Security Violations
Users are prohibited from:
- Malware Distribution: Uploading files containing viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, or corrupted data.
- Phishing: Creating PDF forms designed to steal credentials, passwords, or financial information (credit cards, banking logins).
- Spoofing: Forging email headers or impersonating PDFTEQ administrators.
6. Financial & Identity Fraud
You may not use our editing tools to:
- Alter bank statements, pay stubs, or tax documents for fraudulent loan applications.
- Forge government identification documents (Passports, Driver's Licenses).
- Create fake invoices or receipts to defraud companies or individuals.
7. Violation Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate any violation of this policy. If we determine a user has violated this AUP, we may take action including:
- Immediate Termination: Blocking the user's IP address and access to the Service.
- Legal Reporting: Reporting illegal activities (CSAM, Terrorism, Fraud) to law enforcement agencies.
- Civil Liability: Seeking damages for costs incurred due to system abuse (e.g., repairing DDoS damage).
8. Reporting Abuse
If you suspect a user is violating this policy, please report it immediately.
